Music on this Website

Music is a big part of my life, and I've posted several songs throughout this website to give you a better feel for the areas I visited.  I think you'll find the songs interesting and amusing.  You'll need a RealPlayer to listen to the music on this website, and if you don't have one, you can click here to download a free RealPlayer.

You never know what you're going to get, so click around and look for the music.  Here's a brief sample of what you can listen to:

  • Cajun zydeco music during my visit to the Louisiana swamplands  (News: June 27, 2001)

  • The song Tom Dooley and a story about the real Tom Dula during my visit to North Carolina  (News: July 8, 2001)

  • The theme song of the television show The Waltons during my visit to Schuyler, Virginia -- the real Waltons Mountain  (News: July 16, 2001)

  • Waltzing Matilda and the true story about that song during my visit to the Combo Waterhole billabong in Australia  (News: March 16, 2002)

The songs are indicated with this icon: (Nice, huh?  I drew it myself).

And speaking of music, I listed my Ten Favorite Albums here and I've included a song from each album.  Happy listening!
