65).  Lassen Peak and Manzanita Lake    Lassen Volcanic National Park, California (June 2002)

I always wanted to be a National Park ranger when I grew up (and still do).  I never got my wish, but at last count I had visited 210 of the 394 National Park units in the U.S.  I especially enjoy the lesser-known parks, like Lassen in northern California, one of my 10 Favorite National Parks in the U.S..  It's off the beaten path so not many people know about it, but it's a terrific place.  I spent about a week here.
