45).  Cape Maria van Diemen    North Island, New Zealand (February 2002)

I took this picture at Cape Reinga on the northern tip of New Zealand, a remote place that not many people get to.  And speaking of extremes, that's New Zealand's westernmost point, Cape Maria van Diemen, off in the distance.  It was a warm and windy afternoon and the scenery, as you can see, was spectacular.
