One of the most intelligent, articulate, and inspiring persons I met during my trip was Dr. Lawrence Diggs, a.k.a. "The Vinegar Man." An expert in vinegar (don't laugh), Lawrence searched far and wide across America for a home for his "International Vinegar Museum" and settled in the small-and-quirky town of Roslyn, South Dakota. I spent two hours talking to Dr. Diggs about vinegar (again, don't laugh) and a myriad of other topics. Getting to know him was one of the high points of my road trip.
