1).  My Dad & Lila    Bellingham, Washington (April 2001)

I spent two months during the spring of 2001 getting ready for my road trip around America.  I spent most of that time at my apartment in Portland, Oregon, but I drove up to my dad’s house in Bellingham, Washington a few times during the spring.  Here's my dad in his favorite chair – and Lila in her favorite lap.  My sister Doti's cat, Lila, is very affectionate.  But she's also insistent about getting her "lap time" at night, especially from my dad.
